Session 1: Pursued in the Garden

Genesis 3:1–13 – When Adam and Eve sinned, their instinct was to hide. Yet God’s first response was not rejection but pursuit: “Where are you?” (v.9).

This question reveals His heart it wasn’t about geography but intimacy. Even in failure, God sought them, showing that His love begins where our shame tries to end the relationship.

Takeaway: God meets us in our brokenness, calling us back to restoration.

Reflective Questions:

• When have I tried to hide from God?
• How does His pursuit change my view of failure?

Session 2: Pursued as the Lost Sheep

Luke 15:1–7 – Jesus describes a shepherd who leaves ninety-nine sheep to find the one that wandered. This parable highlights the personal nature of God’s pursuit. He does not settle for the majority but treasures each soul. His joy is not complete until the lost one is restored.

Takeaway: Every soul matters deeply to God.

Reflective Questions:

• Do I believe God values me this much?
• Who in my life feels “lost,” and how can I reflect His love?

Session 3: Pursued at the Well

John 4:4–26 – Jesus deliberately travels through Samaria and engages a woman at the well, crossing cultural hostility, gender norms, and moral stigma. His pursuit shows that no barrier can block His love. Instead of condemnation, He offers “living water” that transforms shame into testimony.

Takeaway: No barrier can stop His love. He meets us where we are, restoring dignity and purpose.

Reflective Questions:
• What barriers make me feel unworthy?
• Where do I thirst for “living water” today?

Session 4: Pursued Through the Cross

Romans 5:6–11 – Paul reminds us that Christ died “while we were still sinners.” The cross is not a response to our worthiness but to our need. It is the ultimate act of pursuit, God’s unyielding love displayed in sacrifice, reconciling us when we could not reach Him ourselves.

Takeaway: His love is costly; Jesus gave His life to reconcile us to God.

Reflective Questions:
• What does the cross reveal about God’s love?
• How can I live daily in gratitude for His sacrifice?

Session 5: Pursued for Mission

Matthew 28:18–20 – After His resurrection, Jesus declares all authority and commissions His followers to make disciples. God’s pursuit doesn’t end with salvation; it extends outward through us. Empowered by His Spirit, we are sent to carry His love into the world.

Takeaway: His mission becomes ours, to pursue others with His love.

Reflective Questions:

• How does His pursuit inspire me to share His love?

• Where is God calling me to be a witness?

From Eden to the cross, from the lost sheep to the Great Commission, Scripture reveals a God who relentlessly pursues His people, personally, sacrificially, and missionally.

Lord, thank You for being the God who pursues. Help us rest in Your love and reflect it by pursuing others with grace and compassion. Amen.

May God bless and keep you always.
